Week 2
This week I learned what a Twitter account is and how to set one up. I also was introduced to TweetDeck.
Personally, I will keep in contact with family and friends, check weather and news reports, learn more about my hobbies and music.
At work, I could send out PSAs to patrons and keep them informed of closures.

Week 1 (Lesson 1 - 3) -
What did I learn?
This week I discovered what a blog was, how to set one up and how to start making entries. My photograph wouldn't open so I will have to check with Bruno to see if my settings are causing the problem.
How will I use it in the future?
Now I can share my knowledge when assisting patrons to set up a blog. If time allowed I see it as a publicity tool. For my personal use I could create a photo albums for family and friends and as a means of communication.
What applications can be applied at the Library or for personal use?
Perhaps a blog could be set with students to promote literacy and to teach them about library resources. At home, I could use it to keep in contact with others interested in the same hobbies.
