Thing 12 - unfortunately wordle.net wouldn't scramble my list of Christmas words. Would it be due to using my iPad at home?

Free Images Online & Copyright

I trust that I have given the proper attribution to the photographer, Trish Steel. I was searching for a free image on Valentine's Day and this blackbird caught my eye.
I have learned to be very respectful of even free images online and how to check Creative Commons Attributions before posting any of them. Such images could compliment posters, brochures and reports at work to attract readers as I promote library services and programs. It would be great to store them for future use.

Week 3 - It was interesting to go toVision and create a new list, add titles to it, select a book, add a comment and share it, and learn how to follow users with similar reading interests. Now I will start following them.
These skills will be used to assist library patrons and when teaching my family how to make better use of their accounts.

Learning to Twitter
Week 2
This week I learned what a Twitter account is and how to set one up. I also was introduced to TweetDeck.
Personally, I will keep in contact with family and friends, check weather and news reports, learn more about my hobbies and music.
At work, I could send out PSAs to patrons and keep them informed of closures.

Week 1 (Lesson 1 - 3) -
What did I learn?
This week I discovered what a blog was, how to set one up and how to start making entries. My photograph wouldn't open so I will have to check with Bruno to see if my settings are causing the problem.
How will I use it in the future?
Now I can share my knowledge when assisting patrons to set up a blog. If time allowed I see it as a publicity tool. For my personal use I could create a photo albums for family and friends and as a means of communication.
What applications can be applied at the Library or for personal use?
Perhaps a blog could be set with students to promote literacy and to teach them about library resources. At home, I could use it to keep in contact with others interested in the same hobbies.

Welcome to Nanny Bee's Hive!
Welcome! This is the beginning of my first blog. It is a learning adventure that I am looking forward to in 2014.
